The monumental installation Threes takes a simple rule (‘divide in threes’) and the simplest form, a circle. It grows downward, like an upside-down tree. Perhaps it evokes giant confetti falling, or a sea creature floating in the ocean. The bright glossy colours contrast with the rough industrial environment. Under the influence of heat, drafts, visitors walking, it slowly moves, catching the light in different ways.

Threes was especially commissioned for Wild Summer of Art 2024 at Brutus, Rotterdam.
